November 8, the 6thTencent Business School Development Forum with the theme of “Business EducationReform in the Era of Mobile Internet” was successfully held in Beijing. The CUFE BusinessSchool was awarded as the “2018’ Business School of the Year”. Professor Wang Ruihua,Dean of CUFE Business School and Director of the MBA Education Center, won the “2018’ Leadership in BusinessEducation in China” prize. This is the 4th time in a row thatCUFE business school as well as Dean Wang won the honorary titled by Tencent.

With the theme of“Business Education Reform in the Era of Mobile Internet”, this Business SchoolDevelopment Forum brought together prestigious business schools to discuss theopportunities and challenges of business education. Chinese business schoolshave always been pacing with the times, following the forefront of the societydevelopment trends. Every change in business education is traditionally anoverwhelming innovation. Dean Wangwas invited to the event for thekey note speech at the round table and to receive an exclusive interview with the guests of Tencent. Huang Jixin,Liu Xinfeng, and Luan Tian from the MBA Education Center were at  the event.

In the round tablediscussion on the theme “the Sustainable Development of Business Schools in BigData Era”, Dean Wang saidthat, the changing times and technological innovations must attract theattention of educators. The era of big data has a great impact on managementeducation and business schools. Business schools should not only reflect thechanges in educational concepts, mission and vision, but also explore thecurriculum system and educational methods. Taking CUFE Business School as an example, in order to activelyadapt to the needs of the times, CUFEBusiness School developed the big data faculty team in 2013. In 2015, thefirst undergraduates majored in Big Data Marketing were recruited in CUFE BusinessSchool. Those students were the first group of students majored in Big DataMarketing in China. And also in 2015, CUFE Business School developedthe concentration of finance and big data marketing in its MBA program. In 2016,CUFE Business School started the Big Data Talents Class. The series ofinnovative exploration and attempts carried out by CUFE Business School effectivelymeet the needs of economic construction and social development for theeducation of applied cross-border and innovative talents in the section of finance,big data and marketing.

Dean Wang said that,there are changeable and constant contents in education. Technology is developingand times are changing, talent training is the starting point and foothold ofeducation. It is necessary not only to adapt to the needs of the times but alsoto the development of business schools to cultivate talents with the abilitiesof communication, coordination, resource integration, leadership, criticalthinking and so on.

After the meeting,Dean Wang received an exclusive interview by Tencent regarding the developmentplans of the management education in CUFE Business School, and the efficientcombination of business education with mobile Internet, etc.

                                     

                                                             

In 2018, CUFE BusinessSchool formally established the first Advisory Committee, and successfullyconvened the 2018’ Advisory Committee Meeting. Strategic advices and guidancefor CUFEBusiness School's current and future development wasprovided. CUFEBusiness School continues to promote the implementation of theinternationalization strategy. Cooperation and negotiation with University ofBrandeis, University of Missouri and University of Massachusetts at Lowell isin process. Senior officers from AACSB International, professors and studentsfrom University of Miami, University of Arts and Applied Science and Technology in Switzerland, Telecomde Management Paris, University of Sydney, University of Edinburgh, and Universityof Science and Technology of Hong Kong were invited to visit CUFEBusiness School.    

In 2018, CUFEBusiness School held a series of academic conferences and industry forums, andco-organized “The New Skills and Competences for a Data Driven WorldConference” with GfK Verein. CUFE Business School jointly organized “The Macroeconomicand Financial Market New year Forum (2018)” with China International Futures Co.Ltd; Organized the “CUFE Business School Academic Forum series”, the “Organizationand Human Resources Management Frontier Series Forum”, the MBA “ManagementFrontier and Entrepreneurship Forum” etc. CUFE Business School Financial Club held the “China CultureIndustry Investment Forum”. CUFE BusinessSchool Financial Accountancy Club held the 3rd CFO Forum of MBAs,the “Supporting the Career Development of Business School”, and the “Insightinto the Future” series of lectures on talent development.

In 2018, CUFE Business Schoolsuccessfully held the 5th Business Leaders Training Camp, the 3rdBig Talents Class, the 5th Undergraduate Academic Talents Class, theInternational Summer School, and the 3rd GTMBA program. The MBAstudents have won the second prize of the 1st “Rush Hour” National CommercialBank Management Simulation Competition, the Championship of the 5th BeijingMBA Basketball League, and the second place of the “Asia-Pacific Business SchoolBlue Ice Trekking Challenge”. CUFEBusiness School has signed strategic cooperation agreements with ChinaInternational Futures Group, Grandtopeak Group, Yilu Wealth, and hosted exclusivetraining workshops for China Armament Industry Group, CITIC Bank and HainanBaisha Li Autonomous County.

                                                   

In recent years,as one of the most competitive and influential MBA programs in China, the CUFE MBA program obtainedabundant achievements in education and extensive social recognition by integratinghigh quality resources of the whole university upon the prestigious socialreputation and brand value, the discipline characteristics and the advantagesof faculty.
