Onthe afternoon of July 4, 2018, the 2018 Central University of Finance andEconomics (CUFE) Symposium on MBA Teaching took place. It was co-sponsored bythe CUFE Business School/MBA Education Center, Graduate School, Office ofAcademic Affairs, Research Management Office, and Center for FacultyDevelopment. More than 40 MBA teachers from different schools of CUFE attendedthe Symposium which was presided over by Jia Xiaojing, Deputy Director of theCUFE MBA Education Center.

WangRuihua, Dean of the CUFE Business School and Director of the CUFE MBA EducationCenter, delivered a speech and concluded the performance of MBA teaching andmaster’s theses between the 2017 and 2018 school year. Dean Wang first thankedall the leaders and other faculty for their continuous support and concern forthe development of the CUFE MBA program. Then he indicated that in recent years,the MBA program has maintained a good momentum in his summary of MBA teachingand master’s theses between the 2017 and 2018 school year. He also pointed outthat the CUFE MBA program has become so increasingly superlative with growingbrand value and quality and well-received reputation in recent years that it hasentered a pivotal stage of accreditation by the Association to AdvanceCollegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).Therefore, intensifiedefforts shall be made to enhance the building of teacher performance assessmentcriteria and assurance of learning system. Meanwhile, improving processmanagement and setting stricter assessment criteria would also generate highereducation quality and promote further development of the MBA program.

The CUFE Symposium on MBA Teaching, an annually organized eventsince the launch of the CUFE MBA program, sets up a communication platform forall MBA teachers. It helps deepen teachers’ understanding of MBA teaching,highlight its significance, and keep MBA teaching standards rising effectively.The Symposium concluded the pedagogical achievements and experience over thepast year. Building on these accomplishments, it will continue to improve MBAeducation quality in all respects, prompt AACSB international accreditation toproceed smoothly, and facilitatebetter and faster progressin the MBA program.
