CUFE-BS Academic Seminar: Inflation expectation, resource reallocation and innovation inhibition

Speaker: Dr. Zhong Teng, Associate Professor

  

Dr.Zhong Teng is an associate professor from School of finance, University of international business and economics, and deputy director of Applied Finance Department. He studied in Renmin University of China from 2007 to 2016, and obtained bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctor's degree successively. He has visited the Marshall School of Business of the University of Southern California and the Wharton School of business of the University of Pennsylvania. His research fields include corporate finance, capital market, financial system and development. He has published over 10 papers in economic research, financial research, Economics (quarterly), world economy, accounting & Finance and other authoritative journals at home and abroad, and presided over a project of National Natural Science Foundation of China.

  

Abstract:

This paper uses the future price expectation index, Phillips curve method and random walk model to calculate the expected inflation rate, and investigates the impact of inflation expectation on Enterprise R&D innovation activities, as well as its internal mechanism and economic consequences.
