Guo Shilongfrom CUFE Business SchoolParticipated in Sino-Australian Youth Summit

Guo Shilong, a senior undergraduate student majored in Logistics Management at CUFE Business School was selected as a member of “Sino-Australia Millennium Project”. He went to Sydney, Australia to participate in Sino-Australian Youth Summit from June 1st to June 5th, 2015.        

 

“Sino-Australian Millennium Project” is the first government sponsored world-wide bilateral business incubator project which involves young talent from China and Australia in several fields. Entrants of the “Sino-Australian Youth Summit” include one hundred excellent young leaders of 18 to 35 and young representatives of all industries in Australia. During the project, entrants need to take part in line-interactive activity for 3 months and Sino-Australian Youth Summit which lasts for 5 days. In the Summit, young people from China and Australia are divided into 20 think tanks, discussing common problems such as food security, population aging and others that the two countries are facing.        

 

Guo Shilong, from Business School, CUFE is the youngest representative from China. After becoming a member of the youth think tank, he did a deep discussion and analysis with other representatives on Youth Employment. Based on analysis of youth employment in China and Australia, Guo Shilong and his teammates built “Ploom”---- an App linking middle school students and career professionals, to help middle school students know about workplace characteristics and career panning, which can adapt them into increasingly fierce job-hunting competition. This project was praised by FYA, a famous non-governmental organization in Australia.        

 

Business School of CUFE has made internationalization and specialization as the school’s development strategy. In talent cultivation, Business School encourages students to take part in exchange activities home and abroad to broaden their horizon and raises students’comprehensive qualities by using diverse talent training modes. In the course of internationalization, Business School will make more outstanding and significant talent training construction achievement.
